Do your lists have lists? We’re looking for a production coordinator to join our cozy production team in Cape Town. We are a full-service online learning partner, dealing with projects and clients from all over the world in all sorts of industries!


Our ideal candidate should be a dynamic, problem-solving person who can work in a fast-paced environment with diligence for attention to detail. They should be someone who is able to make sense of a lot o information and instructions as well as have confidence in their abilities and be able to keep enthusiasm throughout the day.


The production coordinator receives a project brief and works with the creative lead, project manager, and the rest of the production team to execute video production. Shoots are conducted locally and internationally with post-production managed in Cape Town. This position is ideal for someone with an interest in video production and creating beautiful, professional learning videos. Think interviews and short docos, not your cliche green screen lecture video!

To do!

  • You will work closely with the production team to understand best practice in producing learning content, according to Construct’s digital principles.

  • Apply a foundational level of production knowledge and skills to coordinate technology-compatible
    learning production for a range of learners that meet best practice standards​

  • Attend squad kick-off meeting and daily squad stand-ups (until course completion)

  • Support the Production Team and Lead Editor to run the course videos through approval processes, as required. E.g. Processing client feedback and mapping all production activity to Construct’s quality standards for learning and visual design

  • Engage with the latest external thinking and best practice in production

  • Support the production team with answering any queries they may have as they create and coordinate videos for courses

The key skills required for this role are:

  • Two+ years of experience as a producer/production coordinator and work in pre-production

  • Experience on set and working with basic camera, audio, and lighting equipment is a bonus


  • Able to think conceptually and apply it to a project


  • Excellent level of attention to detail

  • Adapts to situations and understands new concepts quickly

  • Experience working with remote teammates

  • Innovative and creative in approaching production challenges

  • Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as part of a
    multi-disciplinary squad

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills & ability to work to deadlines​

  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships​​

  • Communicate confidently, clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal form

  • Effectively use online collaboration tools e.g. Slack, Zoom, Google Docs
