Head of Operations

We need you!

We are looking for motivated, adaptable, and outcome-orientated Head of Operations to join our Cape Town team. 

Your primary responsibility will be management of the Cape Town production team and learning technology team, and pastoral responsibility for the Cape Town based learning and project management teams. 

You will help us establish a world-class business operation offering sector-leading digital learning products to our portfolio of global clients. You will build strong client relationships through overall organisational effectiveness and product excellence. As part of this role you will execute the strategies developed by top management and drive internal improvement projects, ensuring our team of high-performing professionals remain efficient, productive and effective. Our ideal candidate has excellent people skills, business acumen, and work ethic.

  • Oversee the operations of the Cape Town office with the global team in mind. 

  • Translate the global strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth by helping to implement new and innovative policies and procedures as required. 

  • Partner with an exciting portfolio of leading higher education, corporate, and government clients around the world. 

  • Lead the seamless delivery of our products and exceptional client service. 

  • Oversee total operations budget. 

  • Implement strategic projects and improvement initiatives. 

  • Support the new business and sales processes 

  • Lead a rapidly growing team and company. 

The key skills required for this role are:

  • Proven experience in the EDTech space. 

  • 5 years’ experience in a client service and consulting environment in an executive capacity. 

  • The ability to effectively manage, lead, and supervise a multidisciplinary team, including technology and production. 

  • Executive-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders, with proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict. 

  • People management abilities that encourage employees to optimise their performance by setting performance and growth goals. 

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making ability. 

  • A sharp attention to detail. 

  • The ability to think strategically. 

  • A willingness to consider other perspectives and better ways of doing things. 

  • Excellent creative problem solving and innovation skills.
